My intent with this construction is to determine how many cycles of a small pneumatic cylinder I can get out of the air pressure stored in a plastic bottle. So far with one 20oz bottle starting at 50psi, I can get about 18 cycles. I expect considerably more with multiple 2 liter bottles working up to 90 psi. With this sort of non-teathered power system I intend to apply to several different concepts such as a "Self Bouncing Ball", a "Powered Pogo Stick", and a "Leg Assist" for running.

| NOTE: I'm a peace loving guy. I decided early on in life that I would never use my creativity to create weapons. So the fact that in my efforts to make a small cylinder actuate based on pressure from a plastic bottle look a little like a gun is completely coincidental. However, it occurs to me now that one 'Sporting' application of this might be to put a tube around the rod that would accommodate a Golf Ball. All holes are now Par 2. Putter sold separately. |
